The Flying Beets

Formed in Fort Worth, Texas, The Flying Beets burst onto the indie rock landscape in the spring of 2022, quickly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned within the Dallas Fort-Worth area as well as the larger independent music scene. 

Led by the dynamic and immensely talented singer-songwriter Nathan Waller, the band has captivated audiences with their raw authenticity and introspective lyrics. Joining Waller to form the trio is talented and eclectic bassist David Cross as well as Kenn Scott on drums. 

Yes, for the keened eye, Scott is from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fame – a fact too good to not include. Also, yes, Raphael IS and ALWAYS WAS the BEST TMNT. 

Singles like Villain, a wickedly and shockingly more complex take than first listen might let on, allowed The Flying Beets to put a stranglehold on timeless, yet innovative rock. The sort of music that trots between genres, making it easy listening for fans of any particular subset to get excited about. 

More recently, the threesome released The Stupid Way You Breathe, another raw and powerful track, sucking in listeners with Cross’ always consistent keeping of the low end, Scott’s forever in the pocket fills, and Waller’s gripping lyrics and vocals. 

The Flying Beets are not just another band; they are a testament to the power of music to convey deep emotions and connect with listeners on a profound level. And yet, they are nowhere near done.
